We had the opportunity to sew a copy of the original peace flag of Aldo Capitini, which will be displayed at the San Matteo library. Our Heartfelt thanks to Madalena who guided the session, and to our dear participants from various parts of the world! 

Aside from enjoying some nice hot tea and cookies… We also reflected on the meaning of flags in today’s world.

The idea was to include many people from different nationalities to create the peace flag together as a symbol of resistance and community…

the peace flag displayed at the san matteo degli armeni municipal library in perugia with 

– Seven colored stripes with violet at the top –  

is the original one that aldo capitini made sewn by some friends for the peace march on: september 24, 1961.  

since then, this multicolored flag has been recognized as the peace flag.
